Should black men shave with a razor?

All around the world, most men shave with a razor.  However, most men have medium wavy to straight hair that grow straight out of their skin.  African [black] men on the other hand mostly have curly hair - from tight curls to lose-wavy hair.

Shaving with a razor thus leads to razor bumps or what is medically known as Pseudofolliculitis Barbae. The general advice that is given is for black men not to shave with a razor, but rather with electric shavers that trim the hair close to the skin [like a stubble], but not shave the hair too close to the skin to avoid bumps.

There are also other schools of thought [so to say] that advise black men to shave with a razor, but to shave everyday. An example is this video here: How To Shave Without Getting Razor Bumps

Non-black men also get razor bumps of course, but it is more common amongst black men due to the nature of our hair. However it appears black men CAN shave with a razor as long as they follow the prescribed shaving best-practice.
